Job summary

ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, seeks a Lot Operations leader to coordinate daily lot activities and supervise a team including Lot Assistants and Drivers. You will drive vehicle flow for auctions, enforce SOPs, and mentor staff in safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have leadership experience in automotive or auctions, strong communication, and a detail-oriented approach to inventory and operations. This on-site role emphasizes teamwork and accountability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• 3–5 years of automotive or auction experience preferred.
• Proficiency with computer systems, inventory applications, and scanners.
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
• Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes.
• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and hold the Lot Operations team accountable for daily performance.
• Coordinate daily activities to ensure vehicles are in the correct location and ready for the auction.
• Delegate tasks and distribute workloads to meet aggressive timelines.
• Oversee onboarding and training of new team members on SOPs and safety protocols.
• Conduct daily inspections to ensure lot appearance and maintenance standards.
• Assist with inventory management by locating, numbering, and moving vehicles with VIN verification.
• Ensure safety compliance and promote a high safety focus during all lot movements.
• Maintain equipment condition and assign cleaning tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the designated manager.
