Job summary

Ross Stores is looking for a Security Specialist to help maintain a safe environment at store entrances and throughout the floor. You will greet customers, observe for suspicious activity, and work with Store Leadership to deter theft while ensuring a welcoming shopping experience.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent, plus one year of retail supervision or loss-prevention training.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Provide visible command presence and greet customers to deter theft.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior and report to Store Leadership and Loss Prevention.
• Assist with adherence to Code 50 package inspection policy and loss-prevention directives.
• Support executive-level loss-prevention initiatives and minimize operational shortages.
