Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Security Specialist to deter theft, monitor store entrances, and maintain a safe environment for customers and Associates. The role requires strong communication, teamwork with Store Leadership, and adherence to all security policies.

The ideal candidate has retail supervision or loss prevention training, a security license if available, and a commitment to Ross brand standards and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Provide visible presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor in uniform.
• Deters theft by monitoring for suspicious behavior and following codes/policies.
• Partner with Store Leadership to minimize shortages and ensure Loss Prevention directives are followed.
• Represent the Ross brand with professional appearance and conduct.
• Monitor and communicate theft indicators to leadership.
• Train and educate Associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
