Ross Stores is seeking a Security Specialist to maintain a safe and secure environment at store entrances and throughout the sales floor, while welcoming customers with a courteous demeanor.

You will deter theft, monitor compliance with loss prevention policies, and partner with Store Leadership to minimize shortages. Professional appearance and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent education required; AA degree preferred.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including background checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Provides visible greeting and presence at store entrances/exits.
• Addresses potential theft indicators and collaborates with Store Leadership.
• Supports Loss Prevention directives and minimizes operational shortage.
