Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to monitor store entrances, deter theft, and partner with leadership to minimize shortages. The role emphasizes visibility, safety, and professional conduct in a fast-paced retail environment.

The ideal candidate will have prior loss prevention or security training, strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with store teams. High school diploma required; AA degree preferred.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including but not limited to, additional background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and secure environment and assist Store Leadership in maintains safety.
• Provide visible command presence at entrances/exits and on sales floor.
• Remove clutter and ensure safe egress to emergency exits.
• Provide great customer service by greeting Customers and answering questions.
• Treat Customers and Associates with respect.
• Communicate with Store Leadership and Loss Prevention Leadership.
• Train and educate Associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
• Observe checkout procedures and ensure proper processes.
