Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Lead in Torrance, CA to mitigate theft and fraud and promote a safe store environment. You will partner with leadership to train associates, identify and report theft, and drive shortage awareness across the team.

Responsibilities

• Provide an effective deterrent to dishonest behaviors by displaying command presence and greeting customers
• Maintain a safe and secure store with attention to detail and strong communication with leadership
• Engage with customers and associates in high-risk areas to reduce shortages
• Demonstrate knowledge of shortage programs and support store shrinkage reduction
• Gather indicators of theft and report to leadership; coordinate with local law enforcement as needed
• Assist in onboarding and training of associates in shortage reduction and loss prevention processes
• Support inventory preparation and action plans to reduce shortages
• Role-model safety as a top priority and manage stress in challenging situations
