Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe environment and deter theft at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.

The role partners with Store Leadership to enforce Loss Prevention directives and uphold Ross policies while delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities include monitoring for theft indicators, maintaining brand standards, and supporting operations to minimize shortages.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training.
• One year loss prevention/security training.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible greetings and monitor safety issues at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Assist Store Leadership in maintaining a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Monitor for potential theft indicators and report to Loss Prevention leadership.
• Coordinate with Store Leadership to ensure compliance with Loss Prevention directives.
• Contribute to loss prevention initiatives and minimize operational shortage.
• Represent and support Ross brand at all times with professional appearance.
• Train and educate Associates on shortage reduction initiatives and proper checkout procedures.
