Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. seeks a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe, secure store environment and deliver excellent customer service. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and work with leadership to reduce shortages while upholding Ross brand standards and policies.

This role requires security awareness, strong communication, and the ability to train staff. Eligible candidates must meet licensing and background requirements and thrive in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required, AA degree preferred.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including but not limited to background screening, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Provide visible presence at store entrances/exits and on sales floor in a Ross vest and attire, monitoring for safety issues.
• Assist Store Leadership in compliance with Loss Prevention directives and minimization of operational shortage.
• Greet Customers with eye contact, professionalism and courtesy.
• Monitor theft indicators and communicate findings to Store Leadership and Loss Prevention.
• Trains and educates Associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
• Represent and support the Ross brand at all times.
• Other duties as assigned to support Loss Prevention initiatives.
