Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe and secure store environment, greet customers, and deter theft with a visible presence during entrances and on the floor. You will support store leadership, follow policy, and help minimize operational shortages while upholding the Ross brand.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety and security standards in a fast-paced retail setting, with opportunities for development across districts.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including but not limited to, additional background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Provides visible command presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Removes clutter and ensures safe, clear egress to emergency exits.
• Gathers theft indicators and communicates with Store Leadership and Loss Prevention.
• Involves in training Associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
• Represents and supports the Ross brand at all times.
