Job summary

ROSS STORES, INC. seeks a Loss Prevention Specialist to provide a visible security presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor. You will deter theft, greet customers, and partner with Store Leadership to uphold safety protocols and reduce shortages.

Ideal candidates will have 1 year of retail supervisory or loss prevention training, with a valid security license preferred. High school diploma required, AA degree preferred.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, secure environment at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Monitor for potential theft and safety issues and report to Store Leadership.
• Greet customers and colleagues, assist with inquiries, and enforce loss prevention directives.
• Collaborate with leadership to minimize operational shortages and ensure policy compliance.
• Perform other duties to support loss prevention initiatives.
