Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to provide a visible security presence at store entrances and on the floor, deterring theft and ensuring a safe environment for Associates and Customers.

The role requires high school level education (AA preferred), experience in retail supervision or loss prevention, and a valid security license. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Provides visible "command" presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Monitors for potential safety issues and partners with Store Leadership to ensure a safe environment.
• Greet customers in a courteous manner and assist with inquiries.
• Supports loss prevention initiatives and brand standards.
• Remains compliant with all applicable laws and company policies.
