Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe shopping environment and deter theft. You will greet customers, monitor entrances, and support store leadership in Loss Prevention initiatives.

You will work on floor checks, partner with teams, reinforce safety, and uphold Ross brand after hours. Must have high school diploma and LP training; some supervisory experience preferred, with strong communication and customer service skills to resolve conflicts effectively.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible command presence at store entrances/exits with a Company issued vest and greet Customers.
• Monitor for potential safety issues and assist Store Leadership in maintaining a safe environment.
• Walk the sales floor to identify theft indicators and address them as directed by leadership.
• Partner with Store Leadership to ensure compliance with Loss Prevention directives and minimize shortages.
• Represent Ross brand professionally and maintain company dress code.
• Gathers theft indicators and communicates findings to Loss Prevention leadership.
• Perform duties to support loss prevention initiatives and training of staff.
