Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Lead in New Orleans to mitigate theft and fraud in high shortage areas while promoting a safe store environment. You will engage with customers and associates with a strong, energetic greeting.

Responsibilities

• Provide an effective deterrent to dishonest behaviors throughout the store by demonstrating a command presence and following dress code.
• Maintain a safe and secure store for customers and associates with strong attention to detail and communication.
• Engage with customers and associates in high-risk areas to promote security and customer service.
• Display knowledge of shortage areas and support programs to identify and reduce theft.
• Gather indicators of external theft and coordinate with store/field leadership and local law enforcement as needed.
• Assist store leadership with internal controls, point-of-sale monitoring, audits, and asset protection programs.
• Provide onboarding and ongoing training support for shortage reduction programs.
• Assist with semi-annual inventory preparation and action plans to reduce shortage.
• Model safety-focused behavior and manage stressful situations effectively.
