Job summary

Burlington is seeking a Part-time Shortage Control Associate to help ensure a secure shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and assist in reducing theft through projective loss prevention practices across high-risk areas.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and exits, remaining vigilant and aware of surroundings.
• Greet every customer with a warm smile and friendly greeting.
• Identify theft incidents or suspicious subjects and report to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates, ensuring safety standards.
• Train associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
• Support leadership with shortage reduction initiatives.
