Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Security Specialist to maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and associates, with a focus on deterrence, loss prevention, and compliance with company policies. You will greet customers, monitor entrances, and support store leadership in safety initiatives.

The role emphasizes teamwork, professional conduct, and adherence to company dress code while upholding the Ross treasure across all store areas.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Provide visible command presence and greet customers; monitor for safety issues.
• Assist Store Leadership in minimizing operational shortage and enforcing Loss Prevention directives.
• Support and recognize Associates; participate in district meetings and training as needed.
• Represent the Ross brand with professional appearance and conduct.
