Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a part-time Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure, customer‑friendly shopping environment. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and support theft prevention initiatives across the store, reporting incidents to leadership.

This role requires a calm, energetic presence and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, while upholding safety and loss-prevention standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor the store environment.
• Confidentiality and discretion are required.
• Ability to review, analyze and understand business trends.
• Positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and high‑risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet customers with a warm, confident, and energetic greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents to the Manager on Duty.
• Train associates on shortage reduction programs and safety processes.
