Job summary

ShopRite of Mount Pocono in Mt. Pocono, PA is seeking a Loss Prevention Associate to help deliver a safe shopping environment and protect store assets. You will detect security issues, assist customers, and work with store leadership to minimize shrink.

The role requires the ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and communicate effectively with customers and team members. Training and safety protocols are provided to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze and understand English.
• Stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments.
• Ability to travel to various store locations if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Loss Prevention reporting tools to identify and minimize potential loss and shrink.
• Detect and apprehend customers, associates, and vendors for theft in a professional manner per policy.
• Represent the company in criminal actions resulting from apprehensions.
• Coordinate activities with Store Management and Loss Prevention Specialist to improve security.
• Maintain security of doors and entrances and observe security standards across the store.
• Keep a clean, neat, and safe work/shopping environment and follow all policies.
