Job summary

BENCHMARK is looking for a highly engaging Loss Prevention Agent to join our team in Puerto Rico. This role focuses on supporting the safety and security of guests, employees, and property while maintaining exceptional service standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a valid driver's license for Puerto Rico, and a commitment to create a comfortable environment for all. Past experience in hospitality or security is preferred, alongside First Aid/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Puerto Rico driver’s license.
• Prior hospitality, customer service or security experience preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, or bend and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Loss Prevention Agent

We are looking for a highly engaging, safety and customer focused individual to join our team as Loss Prevention Agent. The successful candidate will support the safety and security of guests, employees and property, and will assist other departments in delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the property’s safety policies and procedures while maintaining professionalism and teamwork.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and security of guest and employee information.
• Conduct preventive patrols and maintain high visibility of security to reduce the opportunity for criminal activity.
• Promote and preserve a comfortable and non‑threatening environment for guests and employees.
• Aid individuals in danger, or seek aid for those in need of medical attention.
• Respond to emergencies according to the property’s Emergency Service Procedures.
• Complete all daily activity and incident reports.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with liquor laws.
• Assist in developing and presenting security‑related programs.
• Review and edit written records produced by security officers.
• Assist in other duties as directed by the immediate supervisor.
• Execute any additional instructions or tasks assigned by the supervisor.
