Job summary

Greater Nevada Credit Union seeks a Loss Mitigation Specialist to support Risk Management by handling delinquency-focused tasks across pre-collections, collections, and recovery. You will coordinate payment plans, promote loan modifications, and help minimize losses while maintaining thorough records and reporting.

The role requires at least 1 year in financial services, collections or loss mitigation, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Financial Institution experience or Compliance, Lending, Loss Mitigation or Collections within a Financial Institution required.
• 1 year of Customer Service experience required.
• 1 year of Loss Mitigation experience preferred.
• Collections experience preferred.
• Member services experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate payment arrangements with members and document each contact.
• Promote Loan Modifications and Deferments to reduce delinquencies.
• Prepare payment agreements for negative share accounts and follow up.
• Support efficient operation with reporting, tracking, and balancing tasks.
• Coordinate and process bankruptcy litigation.
• Review and analyze transactions and create reports for Federal BSA filing.
• Assist with card disputes and fraud investigations.
• Respond to consumer credit disputes and credit bureau exceptions.
• Conduct collateral repossession and disposal activities and maintain records.
