Job summary

Greater Nevada Credit Union, a division of America First, is seeking a Loss Mitigation Specialist to support the Risk Management team. You will manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts, negotiate payment arrangements, and promote loan modifications to reduce losses.

Based at the Eagle Station location or Reno/Carson City offices, this full-time role emphasizes documentation, reporting, and collaboration with members to secure favorable outcomes while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Financial Institution experience or related fields required
• 1 year of Customer Service experience required
• 1 year of Loss Mitigation experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate payment arrangements with members and document each contact
• Promote loan modifications and deferments to reduce delinquencies
• Prepare payment agreements for negative share accounts and follow up
• Generate reports and track statistics to support department operations
• Coordinate and process bankruptcy litigation
• Review transactions and create reports for Federal BSA filing
• Assist with card disputes and fraud investigations
• Respond to consumer credit disputes and bureau exceptions
• Handle collateral repossession and disposal activities and maintain records
