Job summary

West Bend Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Loss Control Representative for the Greater Raleigh/Durham, NC area. This field-based role conducts onsite risk assessments, surveys and recommendations, collaborates with underwriters, and trains business clients.

You will manage a territory, build agent relationships, and support new business opportunities from home offices in the Raleigh region. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in safety or loss control, a multi-line carrier background, and strong

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in safety, loss control or related field.
• Independence in servicing large/complex accounts with little guidance.
• Willingness to coach and mentor peers and engage in professional development.
• Experience with a multi-line insurance carrier.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills.
• Problem solving, critical thinking, active listening, negotiation skills.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite risk assessments for prospect, new quotes and existing accounts.
• Perform physical surveys, analyze exposures, develop service plans and provide recommendations.
• Consult with underwriters to determine account risk acceptability.
• Provide verbal and written correspondence to underwriting.
• Work with agents to foster relationships and secure new business.
• Manage a service territory and deliver safety planning and training to clients.
• Deliver training presentations in-person and occasionally on weekends.
