Job summary

South Row Elementary is seeking a Long Term Substitute Grade 2 Teacher for a temporary assignment from late August 2026 through February 2027. The successful candidate will coordinate with specialists and work with parents to support student learning.

The position requires the appropriate degree and MA DESE teaching license; 1 year classroom experience is preferred. Citizenship or work authorization is required. Salary is daily and commensurate with experience.

Job Description

Interim Grade 2 Teacher at South Row Elementary School. The successful candidate will assume the role and responsibilities of a Grade 2 Teacher for a temporary assignment from Mid-August 31, 2026 through February 21, 2027 (dates subject to change). Responsibilities include: coordinate efforts with specialists assigned to provide additional specific services; confer with parents to promote better understanding of the pupil and his/her environment; assist and guide ancillary personnel; attend meetings and prepare and maintain all related records and reports reflecting activities as required or directed.

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $200 to $200 Per Day

South Row is currently the smallest elementary school in Chelmsford with a student population of approximately 420 students in grades K-4. We have four sections at each grade level with class size ranging from 20‑25.
