Position: Long-Term Substitute Recess/Lunch Aide

Location: South Row Elementary School

Assignment Dates: Immediate Start- June 18, 2026 (Dates are subject to change)

Job Goal: To provide student supervision to maintain a well‑organized, smoothly‑functioning school environment. Duties include supervising students during recess and lunch periods.

During the lunch period: provide assistance to students in opening lunch materials, cleaning tables, and monitoring social interactions.

At recess: closely monitor students for safety, social interactions and appropriate play.

The successful candidate will be able to work on a team of recess aides to provide a safe and caring environment for all students. At times, assist teachers and other professional personnel in classroom, office, and library with miscellaneous tasks.

Qualifications

High School Diploma
Experience working with children
Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities at the elementary level
Experience working with age‑appropriate students in a school setting
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be found appropriate and acceptable

Reports to: School Principal

Work Days: 181‑day work year

Hours per week: 15 hours per week

Pay Rate: $16 per hour
