Position: Long-Term Substitute Recess/ Lunch Aide

Location: South Row Elementary School

Assignment Dates: Immediate Start- 05/08/26 (Dates are subject to change)

Job Goal: To provide student supervision to maintain a well-organized, smoothly-functioning school environment. Duties include supervise students during recess and lunch periods.

During the lunch period: provide assistance to students in opening lunch materials, cleaning tables, and monitoring social interactions.

At recess: closely monitor students for safety, social interactions and appropriate play.

The successful candidate will be able to work on a team of recess aides to provide a safe and caring environment for all students. At times, assist teachers and other professional personnel in classroom, office, and library with miscellaneous tasks.

Applicants should hold the following qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Experience working with children.
• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities at the elementary level.
• Experience working with age appropriate students in a school setting.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be found appropriate and acceptable.

Reports to: School Principal

Hours per week: 15 hours per week

We have four sections at each grade level with class size ranging from 20 - 25.
