Job summary

Habitat Omaha seeks a Homeownership Housing Counselor – Long-Term Services to provide intensive, ongoing housing counseling and financial coaching to families working toward long-term stability and eventual homeownership. This role serves clients who require more than a year of support and collaborates with habitat staff and partners to coordinate services.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Two to four years of experience in housing counseling, case management, financial coaching, or related fields.
• Experience working with families facing financial or housing challenges preferred.
• Experience managing long-term client relationships and caseloads is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ongoing housing counseling and financial coaching to clients needing extended support.
• Maintain an active caseload extending beyond one year.
• Develop individualized action plans to support long-term stability.
• Coordinate referrals to Habitat programs and community resources.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as circumstances evolve.
• Ensure documentation compliant with agency and HUD requirements.
