Job summary

Wayland Union Schools seeks a dedicated SEIU Aide to support students with daily tasks under teacher supervision, assisting with IEP implementation and health needs while maintaining confidentiality.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to use technology and Google applications. The position is 29.75 hours per week across 176 student days, with background checks required after offer.

Qualifications

• Must have strong ability in four core academic areas
• Experience working with school-aged children is required
• Discretion with communication and maintaining confidentiality is essential
• Ability to utilize technology and Google applications
• Capable of following directives from professional staff
• Dependable, punctual, with a positive work history
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Training is required (training provided by the district)

Responsibilities

• Assist students with daily tasks under direct teacher supervision during IEP implementation
• Assist students with toileting and health needs
• Provide student intervention support in four core academic areas
• Attendance is an essential function of this position
• Maintain student behavior through appropriate intervention and techniques
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education or Building Administrator

• Subject to passing post offer background checks
