Job summary

Wayland Union Schools is seeking a guaranteed substitute teacher to support instructional delivery across the district. The role requires reporting to the assigned building each morning and prioritizing substitute teaching duties to maintain continuity in learning.

Candidates should have an associates degree or 60 credit hours, with Michigan teaching certification preferred or the ability to obtain a substitute permit.

Responsibilities

• Guaranteed subs report to assigned building each morning and work as a teacher sub is the first priority.
• Establish a positive learning environment with highly effective instruction.
• Utilize technology to enhance instruction.
• Attendance is an essential job function.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by administrator.

• Guaranteed Subs will report to their assigned building each morning. Work as a teacher sub is 1st priority.

Terms of Employment:

This is a guaranteed sub position that is guaranteed work for 143 days during the school year, starting September 2025.
