Job summary

Wayland Union Schools is seeking a part-time SEIU Aide to support students with daily tasks and IEP implementation under teacher supervision.

The role emphasizes assisting with health needs, intervention in core subjects, attendance, behavior management, and following district directives. CPI training is provided by the district.

Qualifications

• Strong in four core academic areas.
• Experience working with school-aged children.
• Discrete with communication and maintains confidentiality.
• Ability to utilize technology and Google applications.
• Capable of following directives of professional staff.
• Dependable, punctual, with a positive work history.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Training Required (training provided by the district)

Responsibilities

• Assist students with daily tasks, under direct teacher supervision with implementation of students' IEPs
• Assist students with toileting and health needs
• Student intervention support in four core academic areas
• Attendance is an essential function for this position
• Maintain student behavior through appropriate intervention and techniques
• All other responsibilities assigned by the Director of Special Education or Building Administrator
