Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is recruiting a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus and recipes while ensuring high quality, taste, and presentation in alignment with HCSG standards.

The role requires adherence to food safety rules, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and effective communication with residents, staff, and administration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ServSafe or Food Handler certification preferred/required by state law.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
