Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus, maintain high food quality, and ensure presentation meets standards, while delivering friendly resident and staff service.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior cooking experience preferred, and current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as dictated by state law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
• Residency within the service area required.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
