Job summary

Legacy Healthcare in Odell, IL is seeking an experienced Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) to lead the day-to-day operations of a Skilled Nursing Facility and drive resident care quality.

You will partner with the DON and department leaders, recruit and develop staff, ensure regulatory compliance, manage census and financial performance, and foster a positive, resident-centered culture across the facility.

Qualifications

  • Current Nursing Home Administrator / LNHA license required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience as a Nursing Home Administrator or equivalent in skilled nursing or long-term care.
  • Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations.
  • Experience with staffing, employee relations, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with residents, families, employees, physicians, and community partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the daily operations of the skilled nursing facility.
  • Promote a positive, resident-focused culture throughout the facility.
  • Work closely with the Director of Nursing and department leaders to maintain high standards of resident care.
  • Recruit, hire, train, develop, and retain qualified staff.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to department managers and facility staff.
  • Monitor staffing levels and ensure appropriate coverage.
  • Oversee facility performance, census, financial results, and operational goals.
  • Drive census growth and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, residents, families, and referral partners.
  • Monitor quality measures and implement strategies to improve resident outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and healthcare requirements; prepare for surveys and inspections.
  • Address survey findings and oversee corrective action plans when needed.
  • Monitor resident satisfaction and respond to concerns from residents and families.
  • Maintain effective communication with residents, families, employees, physicians, and outside partners.
  • Review policies and processes for opportunities to improve.
  • Collaborate with the business office to monitor financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, employee engagement, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Participate in QAPI initiatives.
  • Ensure facility remains clean, safe, and welcoming.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) to lead the day-to-day operations of our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).

The Administrator will oversee facility operations while partnering closely with the clinical and department leaders to ensure high-quality resident care and a successful, compliant operation.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives.

  • Ensure the facility remains clean, safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents and visitors.

What We're Looking For
  • Current Nursing Home Administrator / LNHA license required.

  • Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field preferred.

  • Previous experience as a Nursing Home Administrator, Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, Executive Director, or Assistant Administrator in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.

  • Strong understanding of skilled nursing facility operations.

  • Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations.

  • Experience with staffing, employee relations, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to build relationships with residents, families, employees, physicians, and community partners.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to lead a team while remaining hand-on and accessible.

  • Demonstrated ability to improve operational performance and maintain a positive facility culture.
