Job summary

LongTerm Healthcare is seeking an experienced Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) to lead a Skilled Nursing Facility.

You will oversee daily operations, partner with the DON and department leaders, and ensure high-quality, compliant resident care while fostering a positive, resident-focused culture.

Qualifications

  • Current Nursing Home Administrator / LNHA license required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related field preferred.
  • Experience as Nursing Home Administrator or related leadership role in skilled nursing or long-term care.
  • Strong understanding of skilled nursing facility operations and regulations.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) to lead the day-to-day operations of our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on healthcare leader who enjoys working with people, building strong teams, improving resident outcomes, and creating a positive culture. The Administrator will oversee facility operations while partnering closely with the clinical and department leaders to ensure high-quality resident care and a successful, compliant operation.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and oversee the daily operations of the skilled nursing facility.

  • Promote a positive, resident-focused culture throughout the facility.

  • Work closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) and department leaders to maintain high standards of resident care.

  • Recruit, hire, train, develop, and retain qualified staff.

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to department managers and facility staff.

  • Monitor staffing levels and work with department leaders to ensure appropriate coverage.

  • Oversee facility performance, census, financial results, and operational goals.

  • Help drive census growth and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, residents, families, and referral partners.

  • Monitor quality measures and implement strategies to improve resident outcomes.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and applicable healthcare requirements.

  • Prepare for and participate in surveys, audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.

  • Address survey findings and oversee the implementation of corrective action plans when needed.

  • Monitor resident satisfaction and respond promptly to concerns from residents and families.

  • Maintain effective communication with residents, families, employees, physicians, and outside partners.

  • Review facility policies, procedures, and processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Work with the business office and leadership team to monitor financial performance and operational efficiency.

  • Promote teamwork, accountability, employee engagement, and a positive workplace culture.

  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives.

  • Ensure the facility remains clean, safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents and visitors.

What We're Looking For
  • Current Nursing Home Administrator / LNHA license required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field preferred.

  • Previous experience as a Nursing Home Administrator, Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, Executive Director, or Assistant Administrator in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.

  • Strong understanding of skilled nursing facility operations.

  • Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations.

  • Experience with staffing, employee relations, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to build relationships with residents, families, employees, physicians, and community partners.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on and accessible.

  • Demonstrated ability to improve operational performance and maintain a positive facility culture.
