Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking a Senior Logistics Operations Leader to oversee transportation, distribution, and warehouse functions, ensuring on-time shipments, cold-chain integrity, and regulatory compliance across domestic and international routes.

The role requires leading and developing supervisors, optimizing SOPs and KPIs, managing client relationships, and driving cost efficiencies through data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3+ years of logistics, transportation, supply chain, distribution, warehouse, or related experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of transportation operations, logistics processes, and supply chain principles.
• Experience with tracking systems, operational reporting, and data analysis.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily transportation, logistics, warehouse, and distribution operations.
• Manage domestic/international shipments, including Air Waybills, Bills of Lading, export documentation, bookings, and shipment tracking.
• Ensure cold-chain management, product integrity, chain of custody, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor on-hold shipments, flight schedules, delivery approvals, and operational issues.
• Lead, coach, train, and develop supervisors and associates; support hiring and performance management.
• Manage client/stakeholder relationships and ensure service and contractual requirements are met.
• Develop SOPs, workflows, training programs, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze operational data, identify trends/risks, and drive corrective actions and process improvements.
• Support budgeting, billing, cost management, and operational planning.
