Job summary

The Laborer Motor Vehicle Operator (MVO) position at NABSD in Annapolis, MD supports the Naval Academy Brigade of Midshipmen and NABSD Retail Dining Facilities. You will operate gasoline, diesel, and electric vehicles up to 10,000 pounds and assist with setup for catered events and venue spaces.

The role involves physical work, lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with help, constant walking, and adherence to safety and security requirements, including English communication

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid state issued driver's license with clean DMV record.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of vehicles up to 10,000 pounds, including gasoline, diesel, and electric models.
• Sets up banquet rooms and event spaces per guidance, including chairs, tables, and equipment.
• Cleans kitchen, retail dining spaces, and supports dishwashing as needed.
• Transports equipment and supplies for catered events between locations.
• Supports inventory counts and follows supervisor guidance.
• Adheres to safety practices for NABSD vehicles and equipment to avoid damage.
• Lifts/moves merchandise and equipment weighing over 50 pounds using dollies and carts.
