Job summary

NABSD in Annapolis, Maryland, seeks a Laborer Motor Vehicle Operator to support Brigade of Midshipmen and NABSD facilities. Duties include operating vehicles, setting up banquet spaces, cleaning, transporting equipment, and assisting inventory counts across NABSD sites.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and a strong work pace with lifting requirements up to 100 pounds with assistance. Flexible shifts support events and non-standard hours.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid state issued driver's license with no points or infractions.
• Ability to lift and carry bags up to 50 pounds, and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of vehicles (gasoline, diesel, electric) up to 10,000 pounds.
• Set up banquet rooms and event spaces per guidance.
• Clean kitchen, event equipment, and Retail Dining spaces; assist dishwashing.
• Transport equipment and supplies for catered events between locations.
• Support inventory counts under supervision.
• Follow safe work practices and vehicle safety to prevent damage.
• Lift and move merchandise weighing over 50 pounds using dollies and carts.
• Work pace is rapid for extended periods with frequent walking and lifting.
• Work across NABSD locations, performing MVO and laborer duties as required.
