Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Logistics and Transportation Specialist in Frederick, Maryland to oversee transportation, order fulfillment, inventory coordination, and international shipments. This role collaborates with carriers, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and cost-effective operations while leading a small team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics and freight budgeting, strong communication, and proficiency with Excel and ERP/WMS/TMS platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics and transportation operations.
• Knowledge of carrier management, shipment tracking, and inventory coordination.
• Experience with multiple warehouses or 3PL providers.
• Exposure to international shipping and import/export documentation preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate carrier scheduling, freight tendering, and shipment planning.
• Manage transportation activities across warehouses and 3PL facilities.
• Monitor shipments, resolve delivery issues, and maintain service levels.
• Support freight budgeting, cost analysis, and carrier invoice review.
• Ensure accurate and timely order processing and shipment execution.
• Communicate with customers regarding order requirements, status updates, and delivery expectations.
• Resolve order, scheduling, and delivery discrepancies.
• Oversee inventory coordination and transfers between locations.
• Provide coaching and supervise a small team.
