Job summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions seeks a dependable Shipping & Logistics Clerk in Maryland to support domestic and international shipments, coordinate trailer movements, and process shipping documentation. You will greet drivers, manage BOLs, and use ERP, TMS, and WMS systems.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong attention to detail, and experience with shipping documentation and cross-functional coordination. Overtime may be required in this role.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and business systems.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Schedule air shipments and coordinate flight bookings with freight forwarders and carriers.
• Monitor shipments to ensure timely dispatch, transit, and delivery.
• Greet and assist truck drivers and coordinate trailer movements.
• Process Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other shipping docs accurately.
• Coordinate with customs brokers and FDA for import/export compliance.
• Arrange pickups with freight forwarders and process express shipments.
• Process customer orders and maintain shipment files.
• Maintain import documentation and transport records.
• Support reporting of shipment activity daily, weekly and monthly.
• Use ERP, TMS, WMS and other systems to support shipping operations.
