Expeditors in Maryland is seeking a Transportation Operations Supervisor (Customer Onsite) to manage day-to-day transportation operations for a global customer. This full-time onsite role emphasizes project management, track-and-trace, and carrier coordination to ensure on-time performance and cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in transportation and logistics, warehousing experience, strong communication, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred in Supply Chain, Transportation or Logistics.
• 2+ years transportation and logistics experience.
• 1+ years warehousing experience.
• Demonstrated project leadership experience.
• 2 years continuous process improvement experience.
• Experience with air, road, ocean movements and dedicated/white glove movements.
• Experience with people management and coaching.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.
• Ability to speak to customers and vendors in meetings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute transportation projects.
• Create project plans to drive process improvement.
• Collaborate with vendor account managers and project managers.
• Ensure SOPs and SWIs reflect needs to carriers.
• Coordinate with warehouses, carriers, and service providers.
• Identify carrier issues with Command Center and drive resolution.
