Job summary

Moog Inc. in Orrville, Ohio is seeking an Associate Logistics Technician to join our Space and Defense Group on a 1st shift onsite.

Responsibilities include packing, receiving, labeling, and coordinating shipments, while maintaining material traceability and working with multiple departments. A high school diploma or GED and 1 year of related manufacturing experience are preferred; English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a related manufacturing environment.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal, written and computer work instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Package and prepare products for shipment per written and verbal instructions; coordinate and schedule delivery with trucking companies.
• Receive products and materials from vendors, customers, and subsidiaries.
• Maintain and use multiple logistics programs and software including email and messaging.
• Ensure labeling and packaging comply with contractual requirements, documentation completed before and after shipments.
• Communicate and work with personnel from all departments.
• Operate fork trucks, pallet jacks, cranes and other material handling equipment.
• Safely operate packaging tools and machinery such as bag sealer, nail gun, table saw, and radial arm saw.
• Drive company vehicles to suppliers for drop off/pick up of hardware at vendor for processing.
• Maintain traceability of materials and verify vendor documentation matches.
• Assist other areas including painting hardware, actuator assembly and test procedures, stocking or picking parts.
