Job summary

Moog is seeking an Associate Logistics Technician for an onsite, 1st shift role in Orrville, Ohio. The position reports to the Manager of Machining Operations and involves packaging, receiving, and logistics coordination in a space and defense context.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related manufacturing experience, with the ability to follow English instructions and perform basic arithmetic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to understand and follow verbal, written and computer instructions in English.
• 1 year of experience in a related manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Package and prepare products for shipment per written/verbal instructions; coordinate delivery with trucking companies.
• Receive products and materials from vendors, customers, and subsidiaries.
• Maintain and use multiple logistics programs and email/messaging tools.
• Ensure labeling and packaging meet contractual requirements and complete required documentation.
• Communicate with personnel across departments.
• Operate fork trucks, pallet jacks, cranes and other material handling equipment.
• Safely operate packaging tools and machinery such as bag sealer, nail gun, table saw, and radial arm saw.
• Drive company vehicles to suppliers for drop off/pick up of hardware.
• Maintain traceability of materials and verify vendor documentation; mark materials with trace numbers.
• Assist other areas including painting hardware, actuator assembly and test procedures, and stocking or picking parts.

Onsite – Orrville, OH

Our team in Space and Defense Group is looking for an Associate Logistics Technician to join them. You will report to the Machining Operations Manager and will have an onsite, 1st shift work schedule in Orrville, Ohio.

To be considered for the Associate Logistics Technician position, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

• High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.


• 1 year of experience in a related manufacturing environment.

As An Associate Logistics Technician, You Will

• Package and prepare products for shipment per written and verbal instructions; includes coordination and scheduling delivery with trucking companies.


• Receive products and materials from vendors, customers, and subsidiaries.


• Maintain and use multiple logistics programs, and software including email and messaging.


• Ensure labeling and packaging comply with contractual requirements, appropriate documentation completion before and after shipments.


• Communicate and work with personnel from all departments.


• Operate fork trucks, pallet jacks, cranes and other material handling equipment.


• Safely operate packaging tools and machinery such as bag sealer, nail gun, table saw, and radial arm saw.


• Drive company vehicles to suppliers for drop off/pick up of hardware at vendor for processing.


• Maintain traceability of materials, including verifying that material matches vendor documentation and marking materials with trace numbers.


• Assist other areas including painting hardware, industrial actuator assembly and test procedures, and stocking or picking parts in stockroom.

Salary Range Transparency

Orrville, OH $18.00–$24.00 Hourly
