Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking a Logistics Technician I for an on-site role in Buffalo, NY with the team in the Space and Defense Group. You will support inventory, shipping/receiving, and material handling while coordinating with shop leads, engineering, and quality teams.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license. The position offers 2nd shift options and a comprehensive benefits package aimed at work-life balance and career development.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal, written and computer work instructions in English.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Support inventory/warehouse operations including finished goods storage, demand/inventory/production planning, and cycle counting.
• Assist with movement, storage, and inventory control of materials, finished goods, tools, and packaging materials.
• Assist with import/export and customs management.
• Support shipping/receiving operations as needed.
• Execute inventory control processes and records management to achieve targeted quality, wastage, and inventory levels.
• Operate material handling/warehouse equipment and move materials, load/unload trucks.
• Perform physical and transactional processes supporting production, repair, development and non-production needs.
• Handle processes such as Material Delivery, Kit Pull, Material Stocking, Receiving, and Packaging.
• Develop working knowledge of several software applications; receive, package, count, and locate parts.
• Frequent lift and bend; cranes and lift carts provided for heavy lifts.
• Prioritize daily activities in processing received hardware.
• Communicate with shop leads and repair operations to meet daily targets.
• Work with engineering, quality, and customer service representatives.
• Handle emergencies and coordinate evacuations.
• Answer incoming calls and coordinate communication to all associates on the shift.
