Job summary

Inteplast Group seeks a Traffic Manager II to supervise a four-person Traffic team and manage freight routing, rates, and performance metrics. You will collaborate with logistics partners to optimize transportation costs while ensuring service levels.

The role requires strong analytical skills, SAP experience, and proficiency in MS Office. Occasional travel is expected to develop key customer relationships and logistics efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university plus five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior supervisor experience preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business correspondence, technical procedures, freight tariffs or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports and manuals; present information to groups.
• Ability to use MS Office; three to five years of experience with freight routing and rating systems; warehouse mgmt software; SAP familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Manage personnel in Traffic Department; monitor performance and conduct appraisals.
• Negotiate freight rates and programs to reduce costs and maximize customer satisfaction.
• Maintain and update routing guides for inbound/outbound freights.
• Create and analyze monthly freight reports for the division.
• Travel 1–2 times per month to visit customers and strengthen partnerships.
