Job summary

Inteplast Group is seeking a Logistics Engineer to optimize end-to-end movement of materials sourced from Thailand and China. You will liaison with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure on-time, within-budget shipments compliant with trade regulations.

The role requires 3–6 years in international logistics, ERP/TMS proficiency, and strong analytical skills. Collaboration across functions and time zones is essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics Engineering or a related field.
• 3–6 years of international logistics or supply chain engineering experience.
• Experience managing ocean/air freight from Asia-Pacific origins (Thailand/China).
• Knowledge of US import regulations, HTS, Incoterms 2020, customs entries.
• ERP (SAP/Oracle) and TMS proficiency.
• Strong analytics and Excel proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across cultures/time zones.

Responsibilities

• Analyze logistics data (transit times, freight costs, customs hold rates) to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements.
• Model and evaluate routing strategies, port-of-entry options, and modal shifts to reduce landed cost.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for all international logistics processes.
• Lead root cause analysis for shipment delays, damage claims, or compliance failures and implement corrective actions.
• Support S&OP and production planning teams with lead time data and inbound inventory visibility.
• Coordinate with overseas suppliers to confirm PO readiness, cargo booking, and on-time loading.
