Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Team Lead for the 1st shift (6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) to coordinate warehousing, receiving and shipping activities under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor.

The role focuses on safety, performance and quality in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will mentor associates, ensure adherence to SOPs, manage forklift operations, validate paperwork, and communicate with customers as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in logistics/distribution.
• Forklift training certification required.
• Ability to operate MHE and stand/walk long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor new and existing associates in distribution activities to meet customer demands.
• Oversee shipping/receiving, verify paperwork, load orders, and ensure accuracy per SOPs.
• Communicate with customers as needed and prepare activity reports for site management.
• Ensure quality control by verifying products meet standards and addressing discrepancies.
• Uphold safety, housekeeping and OSHA/MSDS compliance; participate in safety meetings.
• Direct warehouse team operations, manage schedules, and coordinate labor as required.
• Initiate corrective actions for non-conformities and report to Quality/Management.
• Operate equipment safely, maintain forklift certification, and assist in maintenance.
• Perform other duties as guided by site management, including clerical tasks.
