Job description

Overview

The Logistics Support Specialist will support the Center for Security Forces (CENSECFOR) training mission to establish a Master at Arms (MA) Law Enforcement (LE) “C” school for advanced training. This role involves providing instructional, professional, management, and support services to enable CENSECFOR to deliver mission-essential management support and training. The services will be performed at Naval Technical Training Command (NTTC) Lackland, Joint Base, San Antonio, TX. This Position Is Contingent Upon Award Expected September 2025

Responsibilities

• Track and oversee the supply order process from initiation to delivery, ensuring no gaps that could delay vendor payments.
• Maintain supply requisition files and ensure smooth procurement cycles through data transmission, telephone, or other means.
• Manage MILSTRIP ordering, including issuing gear to work centers.
• Maintain a MILSTRIP log for tracking orders, using DD Form 1348 when originals are unavailable.
• Manage the Defense Property and Accounting System (DPAS), maintaining accountability records for property, resolving discrepancies, and improving system accuracy.
• Oversee the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO) process, including documentation, scheduling, tracking, and inventory updates.
• Assist with annual property inventories, address issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare requisitions for stock replenishment, track usage, and ensure compliance with regulations to prevent waste.
• Coordinate Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) compliance, including maintaining the Authorized Use List (AUL) and Hazardous Waste Minimization (HAZMIN).
• Provide certifications to CENSECFOR Headquarters (N8).
• Process orders with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for document services and printing, and manage copier service requests.
• Perform other logistical tasks as assigned based on emergent or unique requirements at NTTC Lackland.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least four (4) years of logistics experience, including a minimum of two (2) years in a Navy or Marine Corps environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain a Favorable Tier 3 Background Investigation.
