Job Description
The Logistics Support Specialist is based at NTTC Lackland, Joint Base San Antonio, TX, and provides logistical support ensuring compliance with guidelines and directives from CENSECFOR and higher authorities. The role involves collaboration with military and government civilian personnel at the work site and with administrative, logistic, and managerial staff at CENSECFOR Headquarters.

Qualifications

• Track and oversee the supply order process from initiation through delivery, ensuring no gaps that could delay vendor payments.
• Maintain supply requisition files and ensure smooth procurement cycles via data transmission, telephone, or other means.
• Manage MILSTRIP ordering, issue gear to work centers, maintain logs, and ensure proper documentation such as DD Form 1348 is used when originals are unavailable.
• Manage the Defense Property and Accounting System (DPAS), maintaining accountability records, resolving discrepancies, and improving the system for accurate reporting and proper disposal of property.
• Oversee the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO) processes, including documentation, scheduling, tracking, and inventory updates.
• Coordinate Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) compliance, including AUL maintenance and HAZMIN activities.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• At least four years of logistical experience, including two in a Navy or Marine Corps environment
• Experience with DPAS
• Ability to obtain a Favorable Tier 3 Background Investigation
• Valid driver’s license

Additional Information

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for government contracts.
• Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
