Position Overview

As a Senior Logistics Support Specialist-MCT Air, you will be an integral part of a team driving impactful solutions and contributing to global change. You will play a pivotal role in implementing health, safety, and environmental policies while actively engaging in HSE conformity and promoting organizational values.

Roles And Responsibilities
  • Provide movement control support for the surface & air movement of cargo and personnel through the U.S. Military Transportation System.
  • Perform assignments under general and occasional direct supervision, demonstrating expertise in standard concepts within the field.
  • Analyze possible solutions, use standard procedures, and develop advanced skills.
  • Assist in coordinating logistical support functions, adhering to policies and procedures necessary for all airfield operations.
  • Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring departmental safety compliance.
  • Extract data from schedules/amendments and prepare daily schedules.
  • Coordinate mission planning and requirements with stakeholders.
  • Generate incident reports, conduct inspections, and ensure HSE standards and regulations are met.
  • Review and reconcile manifests, shipments, and air terminal reports.
  • Maintain documentation related to Terminal Air/Ground Handling for accountability.
  • Inspect cargo for airworthiness, validate weights and dimensions, and ensure visibility.
  • Implement safety precautions for handling hazardous materials and special cargo.
  • Build and break down pallets, prepare rolling stock, and weigh cargo.
  • Operate material handling equipment like forklifts and loaders.
  • Handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly.
  • Make decisions under pressure, maintaining standards.
  • Troubleshoot logistical issues and recommend solutions.
  • Demonstrate organizational and time management skills.
  • Manage cargo loading/unloading and coordinate with customers.
  • Interact with personnel, clients, subcontractors, and agencies to interpret standards and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Applicable Skills, Knowledge And Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years related experience, or 8 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with civilian/military aircraft loading/unloading.
  • Experience with military cargo buildup, documentation, and marking.
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions, lifting up to 65 pounds.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Valid State Driver’s License.
  • Ability to pass a Military Background Check and work in the U.S.
Preferred Skills or Experience
  • Explosive cargo handling experience and reading Air Load Plans.
  • Experience with forklifts and cargo loading equipment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to perform Air Load Planning, Hazardous Material Inspection, or Joint Inspections.
