Job Description
Spectrum is currently hiring for a Logistics Support candidate to support the Government Program Office at our customer site in San Antonio, TX, at Lackland Air Force Base.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Provide support to COMSEC Products with contract repairs and tracking of Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request (MIPRs) from other services. Prepare necessary paperwork for GPC purchase requests, contracting actions, and shipment/receipt of property under the guidance of Government representatives.
- Track the shipping locations of equipment managed by the program and coordinate with personnel on the transfer of arriving and departing equipment.
- Use written and oral communication to inform management and customers of program issues related to asset repair and return. Communicate via telephone and email with vendors and customers to provide current status updates and follow up as needed.
- Plan and schedule equipment repairs, coordinating with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for timely repair and return.
- Support all aspects of the repair process, including providing data to product areas, supporting maintenance, and coordinating with financial and contracting personnel. Compile reports and participate in meetings to provide status updates. Prioritize work effectively amidst changing schedules.
- Perform duties as Item Manager in their absence or when assistance is needed. Assist in preparing budget requirements and justification for execution plans.
- Maintain up-to-date requirements, develop obligation plans, and monitor resource utilization. Review and prepare purchase requests and MIPRs, ensuring accuracy and proper funding in financial systems such as BQ, CCaRs, and DEAMS.
- Monitor contracts and delivery orders to ensure charges are correctly posted.
- Serve as the primary contact for financial matters related to the COMSEC Products program funding. Monitor Open Document Listings (ODLs), identify resource imbalances, and recommend actions. Assist during fiscal year-end closeout.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as an Inventory Manager
- Top Secret/SCI security clearance
- Expertise in requirements calculations and use of Air Force supply systems, e.g., D035, DO43, CDAS, CMCS, CLASS, and PIDS
- Familiarity with stock listing, disposals, re-procurements, configuration management, technical drawing reviews, validation/verification, and technical orders including modifications
- Forklift experience is desired
