Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Hillsboro, USA, is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of our transportation team. You will coordinate with vendors, manage shipment scheduling, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a team of logistics coordinators to meet client needs.

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or related field and 3–5 years in logistics, including 2+ in supervision, are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics and transportation operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Fluent in English (oral and written).
Strong leadership and management capabilities.

Responsibilities

Supervise the team in daily release schedules for each client.
Create packing schedules based on routine shipments and monitor with the Packing Coordinator.
Coordinate with Air and Ocean freight supervisors to monitor shipments and packing timelines.
Ensure Material Receipts are completed within KPI targets.
Prioritize workload based on schedules and cut-offs.
Monitor daily workload and address issues with the Packing Coordinator.
Ensure overtime is billed back to the client where applicable.
Train the Packing Coordinator and cross-train accounts as needed.
Run packed-not-billed reports to ensure billing for freight.
Generate data reports (Receiving, Material Receipt, Packing, Delivery) from C2C daily.
Organize weekly team meetings to discuss issues and customer needs.
Collaborate with warehouse staff to resolve customer/vendor issues.
