Job summary

The HT Group, a manufacturing client in Austin, TX, is seeking a hands-on Logistics Supervisor to lead day-to-day logistics and warehouse operations. You will develop the team, improve inventory processes, and ensure accurate and timely fulfillment.

Responsibilities include supervising ~12 staff, coordinating domestic and international shipments, and developing SOPs while partnering with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in logistics with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Experience with international shipping and freight forwarding.
• Strong inventory management and process improvement skills.
• Proven ability to train and develop warehouse staff.
• Familiar with WMS/ERP/TMS systems; NetSuite a plus.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Hands-on leadership in a working supervisor environment.

Responsibilities

Job description

The HT Group has a manufacturing client in Austin, TX looking for a Logistics Supervisor who is hands-on, experienced, and process-driven to lead day-to-day logistics and warehouse operations while developing the team, improving inventory processes, and ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily logistics, shipping, receiving, fulfillment, and warehouse activities for a team of approximately 12 employees.
• Assign daily priorities, provide coaching and training, and ensure orders and shipments are completed accurately and on time.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including carrier scheduling, customs documentation, and freight-forwarding processes.
• Remain hands-on with warehouse operations as needed, including palletizing, loading/unloading, staging, and material movement.
• Support inventory management and help identify, correct, and improve broken inventory systems and processes.
• Develop and reinforce SOPs, safety requirements, operational procedures, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and identify opportunities to improve workflow, efficiency, accuracy, and overall logistics performance.
• Partner cross-functionally with warehouse, production, sales, procurement, and other internal teams.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of logistics experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• 2–3+ years of experience with international shipping, customs documentation, freight forwarding, or related processes.
• Strong inventory management experience, including improving processes, systems, and operational procedures.
• Proven ability to lead, train, coach, and develop warehouse and logistics employees.
• Experience with WMS, ERP, TMS, shipping software, or related logistics technologies; NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Strong process‑improvement, problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience creating or improving SOPs, inventory management systems, or change‑management initiatives is highly preferred.
• Ability and willingness to remain hands‑on in a working supervisor environment.
